SGS C vs. Kingston A

SGS C valiantly battled it out with Kingston in the penultimate match of the season in their away fixture last Friday (8th March). The match saw the debut of new player: Ishaan V (9G) who managed to win in a closely fought battle involving a King and Bishop v King and Rook endgame. Yugo  N (8M) also proved his worth once again at the top of the C team, playing expertly enough to humiliate 1900 player. Overall, an incredibly closely fought battle was had and SGS C narrowly lost (despite being down a number of key players) 7-5.

SGS A vs. Hampton B

SGS A once again took the win against Hampton B 4-2 in their home fixture on Friday (8th March). A continued strong performance from key players Jonathan P (11T); Stefan C (9M) and Marton G (11G) made the match a clear win. A congratulations to all three of these boys who are playing particularly well this season, especially considering two of them also have final exams to juggle!
